Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This policy explains how American Global Freights LLC ("AGF", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through agfreights.com and when you contact us about a shipment. AGF is located at 500 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91203, and you can reach us about privacy at info@agfreights.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number and the shipment details you share when you email, call or message us (including by WhatsApp, WeChat or Telegram), use the chat on this site, or request a quote.

Quote requests: the "Get a Quote" form is hosted on a quoting portal operated by a third-party software provider on our behalf. Information you enter there is received by us and processed by that provider under its own terms.

Analytics: with your consent where the law requires it, Google Analytics 4 records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location; Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — as session recordings and heatmaps, with text you type masked by default.

Chat: when the chat widget (provided by tawk.to) loads, it receives technical information such as your IP address and browser, and stores the messages and any name or email address you provide in a conversation.

Server logs: our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) records IP addresses, browser details and request times to deliver and secure the site.

How we use it

To answer your questions, prepare quotes and arrange the services you ask for — which means sharing shipment and contact details with the carriers, partner agents, customs brokers and authorities involved in moving your cargo.

To meet legal obligations, including export-control and sanctions screening, customs and tax recordkeeping, and responding to lawful requests.

To understand how the site is used and improve it, and to keep it secure.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract; our legitimate interests in running and securing the site and our business; your consent, for analytics cookies; and compliance with legal obligations.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run parts of the site for us: Google (analytics), Microsoft (Clarity analytics), tawk.to (chat), Amazon Web Services (hosting) and the quote-portal provider.

Logistics partners needed to perform your shipment: ocean and air carriers, trucking companies, our licensed partner customs broker, WCA partner agents at origin or destination, and our authorized representative in Kazakhstan, DDC.

Government authorities such as US Customs and Border Protection when the law requires it.

Cookies and your choices

The analytics and chat tools above set cookies or similar identifiers — for example Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*), Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk) and tawk.to (twk_*, TawkConnectionTime). Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics run; everyone can accept or decline analytics in the banner and change that choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as declining analytics. Browsers' "Do Not Track" settings have no agreed standard, so we do not respond to them separately.

International transfers

AGF is based in the United States and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on an adequacy decision such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient participates in it, or on standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and quote correspondence for as long as needed for our business relationship, and shipment records for as long as customs, export and tax laws require — commonly five years or more. Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in each provider's retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to obtain a copy of it, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. California residents have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights to know, delete and correct; we do not sell or share personal information as that law defines it. Residents of Brazil have the rights described in the LGPD.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@agfreights.com. We will verify the request and respond within the time the applicable law allows, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
