Freight Forwarder in Kazakhstan & Central Asia

American Global Freights, represented in Almaty by DDC — EAEU customs, EAC certification and delivery across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan

DDC office in Almaty — AGF's authorized representative in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, American Global Freights is represented by DDC, based at Ukhtomskogo Street in Almaty. DDC is an independent Kazakh company acting as our authorized representative: it handles the destination end of everything we move into Central Asia and the origin end of everything we move out, while AGF remains the contracting party — the FMC-licensed NVOCC that issues the bill of lading and stands behind the shipment.

The corridors that meet in Almaty are the ones we sell: cars and oilfield equipment from the United States, container block trains and trucks from China through Khorgos and Dostyk, machinery and food from Europe by rail and the Middle Corridor, re-exports from Dubai, and — eastbound — grain, metals and meat to China. Landlocked freight is a specialist problem, and every routing into Kazakhstan crosses a border, a gauge break or the Caspian; the people in Almaty are the ones who know which crossing is working this month.

The combination is what a Kazakh importer or exporter cannot get from either side alone: a US company that screens export controls, issues American bills of lading and clears US customs, and a Kazakh team on the ground that clears EAEU customs, arranges EAC certification and delivers to the door — in Kazakh and Russian, on WhatsApp, in the same time zone.

What we handle here

1

EAEU customs clearance

Import declarations under the Eurasian Economic Union customs code, EAEU duty and Kazakh VAT, origin documentation for re-exports, and the recycling fee, SBKTS certificate and electronic vehicle passport for imported cars.

2

EAC certification

Declarations and certificates of conformity under the EAEU technical regulations — machinery, low-voltage and EMC for electronics, light industry, food and children's goods — arranged before the cargo ships, not after it is held.

3

The China border

Rail transfers at Dostyk/Alashankou and Altynkol/Khorgos, road crossings at Nur Zholy, and the choice between them by that month's queue — for westbound Chinese cargo and for Kazakh grain, metals and meat going east.

4

Delivery across Central Asia

Almaty, Astana, Shymkent and every region of Kazakhstan, plus onward road delivery to Bishkek and Tashkent, with the transit formalities into Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan handled from Almaty.

5

Kazakh export formalities

Export declarations, phytosanitary and veterinary certificates, and the seasonal export measures on grain and oilseeds — for cargo to China and for ferroalloys, metals and agricultural products to the USA.

6

Vehicles from US auctions

The Kazakh half of the auction-car trade: EAEU duty, VAT, the recycling fee and SBKTS certification priced before you bid, then customs release and registration paperwork on arrival.

Where we are

16 Ukhtomskogo Street, Office 2, Almaty 050042 — about 30 minutes from Almaty International Airport (ALA), roughly four hours by road to the Nur Zholy/Khorgos crossing with China, and a day's drive to Bishkek.

Plan around

Nauryz (21–23 March), Kurban Ait, Capital Day (6 July) and Independence Day (16 December) close customs and banks; the China border is at its most congested from October to February when the grain crop moves; and Chinese New Year stops the China–Kazakhstan flow for two to four weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is DDC part of American Global Freights?
No. DDC is an independent Kazakh company acting as AGF's authorized representative in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. AGF remains your contracting party — the FMC-licensed NVOCC that issues the bill of lading — and DDC performs the Kazakh end of the shipment on our behalf: customs, certification, border handling and delivery. We say this plainly because knowing who you are contracting with matters.
Do you deliver to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan?
Yes. Bishkek is a day's drive from Almaty within the EAEU, so cargo cleared in Kazakhstan moves on without a second customs entry; Uzbekistan is outside the EAEU, so we arrange transit and Uzbek import clearance through Tashkent. Both are handled from the Almaty desk.
Can you clear EAEU customs and arrange EAC certification?
Yes — that is the core of what the Almaty desk does. Import declarations, EAEU duty and Kazakh VAT, origin documents, and EAC declarations or certificates of conformity for machinery, electronics, consumer goods and food, arranged before the goods ship so nothing is held at the border for a missing certificate.
How do I get a car from a US auction to Almaty, and what does it really cost?
We buy nothing, but we handle everything after the hammer: collection from Copart, IAAI or Manheim, title and export-control checks, container loading, ocean freight to Poti or the Baltic, rail or road to Almaty, and EAEU customs. The honest cost answer is that freight is usually the smaller half — EAEU duty, 12% VAT, the recycling fee and SBKTS certification frequently exceed the shipping bill, and we price both halves before you bid.
Do you handle Kazakh exports to China?
Yes. Grain and oilseeds, copper and ferroalloys, meat and honey — by rail and road through Dostyk and Khorgos, with the Kazakh export documents from Almaty and the Chinese import side from our own office in Foshan. The approvals China requires (GACC registration, quarantine permits, designated ports) are confirmed before anything is loaded.
Can I deal with you in Kazakh or Russian?
Yes. The Almaty desk works in Kazakh and Russian, and in English with our US and China offices; it is reachable by phone and on WhatsApp. This site has full Kazakh and Russian versions of every Kazakhstan lane and guide.
