Freight Forwarding Company in USA

FMC-licensed international freight forwarder, headquartered in Glendale, California — the contracting party on every shipment we move

Ari Baghdasaryan, CEO & Founder of American Global Freights, at the Glendale headquarters

American Global Freights is headquartered at 500 N Brand Blvd in Glendale, California, twenty minutes from downtown Los Angeles and under an hour from the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach — the busiest container complex in the Western Hemisphere. This is where every AGF shipment is contracted: as an FMC-licensed NVOCC we issue our own bills of lading here, hold our carrier contracts here, and clear US imports through our own licensed customs brokers here.

The office is the American end of every lane we sell. Containers from our Foshan office land at Long Beach and are cleared, drayed and delivered from Glendale; vehicles bought at Copart, IAAI and Manheim auctions across the country are consolidated, export-filed and shipped from here to Armenia, Georgia, the UAE and Kazakhstan; European, Indian and Brazilian imports enter at New York, Savannah, Houston and Los Angeles under entries our brokers file.

What a shipper gets from this being a real headquarters rather than a booking desk is accountability in one place. The person who quoted the rate, the broker who filed the entry and the operations manager tracking the container sit on the same floor, and the number below reaches them.

What we handle here

1

NVOCC contracting and bills of lading

Rates, bookings and our own house bill of lading on every ocean shipment, under FMC licence OTI#031665NF — with direct carrier contracts and co-loading agreements behind them.

2

US customs brokerage in house

Licensed brokers on staff file ISF and entries, classify under the HTS, handle FDA, USDA, EPA and DOT holds, and review antidumping and countervailing duty scope before you buy rather than after the container lands.

3

Port operations at Los Angeles/Long Beach

Drayage from the terminals, transloading, warehousing and distribution within reach of the San Pedro Bay ports, and intermodal rail to Chicago and the Midwest.

4

Export desk

Auction vehicles, machinery and project cargo leaving the USA: title and export-control screening, AES filing, container loading at our partner yards, and routing to the Caucasus, the Gulf and Central Asia.

5

Nationwide trucking

FTL, LTL and expedited ground transportation across the United States, from port pickup to final delivery at your door.

Where we are

500 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91203 — on Brand Boulevard just north of the 134 Freeway, about 20 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, 30 minutes from LAX and 45–60 minutes from the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach terminals.

Plan around

US customs does not process entries on federal holidays; trucking capacity tightens from Thanksgiving to New Year; and Los Angeles/Long Beach peak season runs August to October, when space and equipment are booked earliest. Chinese New Year reaches this office three to four weeks later as an arrival gap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is American Global Freights licensed to operate in the USA?
Yes. AGF is an FMC-licensed NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), licence OTI#031665NF, authorised to issue its own bills of lading and holding direct contracts with ocean carriers. We are also a WCA member (#144028) and employ licensed US customs brokers in house.
What freight forwarding services does AGF offer in the USA?
Ocean freight (FCL and LCL), air freight, US customs brokerage, intermodal drayage at Los Angeles/Long Beach and other major ports, warehousing and distribution, nationwide FTL and LTL trucking, and an export desk for vehicles, machinery and project cargo — all quoted all-inclusive, with no hidden fees.
Which US ports does AGF serve?
All major gateways: the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach, where we are closest and busiest; New York/New Jersey, Savannah, Houston, Miami and Seattle/Tacoma on the coasts; and Chicago by rail. Our brokers can file entries at any US port of entry, so the port is chosen on your cargo's economics rather than on where we sit.
How much does freight forwarding cost in the USA?
It depends on mode, volume, origin, destination and commodity, and on duty — which is why we quote every shipment individually and all-inclusive. The number we give you includes the standard charges from pickup to delivery; duties and taxes are stated separately and estimated up front. Request a quote and you will have it within a business day.
Do you have people outside the United States?
Yes — our own office in Foshan, Guangdong, run by AGF staff, and an authorized representative in Almaty, DDC, covering Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Each has its own page with local contacts. Everywhere else we work through vetted WCA partner agents.
Can I visit the Glendale office?
Yes, by appointment on weekdays between 8:00 and 18:00 Pacific Time. Call ahead so the right person — a broker, the export desk or operations — is at the table. We are on Brand Boulevard in Glendale with parking on site.
